Washington—Hispanic-American physicians have formed a national organization with the goal of improving the health care of the Hispanic population in the United States. The National Hispanic Medical Association (NHMA), based in Washington, DC, addresses the interests and concerns of an estimated 26,000 practicing physicians and 1800 full-time medical teachers and researchers of varied Hispanic origins.
