To the Editor: Dr Chretien and colleagues1 highlighted the concerns surrounding online posting of unprofessional content by medical students. The majority of deans in this study reported never or rarely using Web 2.0 technologies; this unfamiliarity may contribute to the lack of recognition of not only potential misuse but also the value of these applications. The increasing use of digital media among medical trainees challenges educators to use these new applications and their capabilities to advance medical education and to provide tailored curricula.2
