To the Editor In the randomized clinical trial by Dr Mourvillier and colleagues,1 the authors found that induced hypothermia in adults with severe community-acquired bacterial meningitis did not improve the outcome and may even be harmful. Furthermore, the authors stated that such results could have important implications for future trials on hypothermia in such patients.
