To the Editor Dr Curtis and colleagues1 reported that simulation-based communication training compared with usual education did not improve the quality of communication about end-of-life care or the quality of end-of-life care itself, but was associated with a small increase in patients’ depressive symptoms. The authors drew their conclusions based on evaluations of patients with life-limiting illnesses.
