Physicians serving in Congress voted along their respective party lines for or against passage of the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 (HR 4872 [http://thomas.gov]).

The 3 Democratic physicians serving in the House voted for the legislation while the 10 Republican physicians in the House and 2 in the Senate rejected it. The bill was signed into law March 23 by President Barack Obama.
