Mantoux Test

JAMA. 2010;304(21):2338. doi:10.1001/jama.2010.1737

It has been more than three months
since he died
since I breathed in that
harsh truth.
At first I felt constant pain
deep inside
somewhere in my heart
or lungs.
Now I go about my day
that I ever lost
my dad.
Yet such a loss does not heal,
it only
gets walled off lest it
Show me someone with his laugh
or his smile
and I remember
the pain.
