The impetus for this book was a conference held in 2008 by the Interdisciplinary Prosthetic Research Network in the United Kingdom. The book consists of 12 chapters divided into 3 main sections that outline the multidisciplinary developments in the understanding and treatment of phantom limb pain. Each chapter is well written and provides references to key sources in the field. This monograph has something for every reader with regard to care of the person with amputation and optimal prosthetic outcomes.
