Association of Risk-Reducing Surgery With Cancer Risks and Mortality in BRCA Mutation Carriers

JAMA. 2010;304(24):2695-2696. doi:10.1001/jama.2010.1854

To the Editor: Better understanding of the effects of risk-reducing surgery on cancer risks and mortality is extremely relevant for geneticists and oncologists aiming at optimized counseling of BRCA mutation carriers. However, there are some issues that require consideration.
