The crooks of elbow, ankle, knee and wrist,
the pleats above the collar bones, the lap,
dimples, navel, ears, arches of foot
the small of back, the pit of arm, the nape—
These are the body's brimming cwms and cirques,
its dells and dingles, ditches, lowlands, cols,
its valleys overrun with thick shadows,
its empty cups, its shameless begging bowls.
