Another weighty, multiauthored text on the underlying basic science and techniques of radiation treatment for cancer is at hand. Changes in treatment protocols and updates in clinical cancer outcomes seem to come at us almost daily, to judge by abstracts from cancer conferences and by the newspapers, let alone the learned scientific journals that deal with cancer care.
