For the third time, Drs Bowman and Allen have coauthored an important and helpful book for and about women doctors. Dr Erica Frank, principal investigator of the Woman Physicians' Health Study (http://med.emory.edu/WPHS), has joined them. She brings firm, fresh data from her survey of 10 000 women physicians, 59% of whom responded to questions about their professional and personal lives, including sociodemographic and psychosocial characteristics, health behaviors, health status, and counseling practices.
