After a 15-year hiatus, the second edition of Paediatric Cardiology has appeared. This multiauthored textbook originates from Great Britain. Most chapters are written by experts from the United Kingdom and some by physicians from other nations. Volume 1 includes the sections "General Topics," "Development and Perinatal Medicine," and "Management and Decision Making." The latter chapters of volume 1 and most of volume 2 deal with specific lesions. The textbook concludes with chapters on "Risk Factors and Follow-up" and "Psychosociologic Problems." Within the text, figures are black and white. Color Doppler echocardiograms are presented on plates at the beginning of each volume.
