Meredith Campbell would be proud of this newest edition, which now requires a fourth volume to cover the ever-growing field of urology. Dr Campbell started it as an expansion of his pioneering text Pediatric Urology. Now, Patrick Walsh leads seven other knowledgeable editors and numerous strong contributors in expanding the text to nearly 4000 pages of practical information covering every aspect of urology.

The 46 new authors bring current information and fresh viewpoints, and the 20 new chapters make the work truly encyclopedic. Advances in physiology, immunology, and endocrinology are clearly presented. Because surgical urology is changing, with the introduction of new techniques and minimally invasive approaches, we need these volumes to bring us up to speed.
