Books, Journals, New Media Section Editor: Harriet
S. Meyer, MD, Contributing Editor, JAMA; David H. Morse, MS, University
of Southern California, Norris Medical Library, Journal Review Editor.
The fourth edition of Geriatric Medicine represents
a substantial updating of the third edition, especially in including appropriate
Web sites relevant to geriatrics, geriatric primary care, and delivery of
care. As in the preceding two editions, the editors are outstanding geriatric
academicians and practitioners. Chapters are by experts in areas that include
evidence-based medicine, molecular medicine, psychosocial aspects of aging,
demographics of aging, urinary incontinence, dementia, delirium, syncope,
cardiovascular disease, and cancer in the elderly.
