An offshoot of Mechanisms of Ageing and Development, Ageing Research Reviews began in 2001 as
a section of this well-established journal. In February 2002 Ageing Research Reviews came into its own as a separate quarterly publication.
Its editor is Mark P. Mattson, PhD, from the intramural research program at
the National Institute of Aging, and the editorial board includes a highly
distinguished international array of investigators who have approached problems
in aging from broad-based perspectives. The journal is peer-reviewed, and
indexed in numerous bibliographic databases, including MEDLINE, BIOSIS, and
Chemical Abstracts. A complete full-text version is available to subscribers
at the Elsevier ScienceDirect Web site: http://www.sciencedirect.com. According to the "Aims and Scope" outlined in each issue of this journal,
