A new study involving 18 782 farmers in North Carolina and Iowa
has revealed that agricultural insecticides can cause neurological symptoms,
even when the products are no longer being used. The research, part of the
ongoing Agricultural Health Study funded by the National Institute of Environmental
Health Sciences, the National Cancer Institute, and the Environmental Protection
Agency, will be published in Environmental Health Perspectives (http://ehp.niehs.nih.gov/).
