During his State of the Union address on January 31, President George W. Bush presented his vision to improve health care delivery in the United States.
In opening his segment on health care, the president said, “Our government has a responsibility to help provide health care for the poor and elderly, and we are meeting that responsibility. For all Americans, we must confront the rising cost of care, strengthen the doctor-patient relationship, and help people afford the insurance coverage they need.”
