The War on Cancer: An Anatomy of Failure, a Blueprint for the Future is an analysis of the “numerous and complex issues responsible for the stagnation in cancer therapies” since the National Cancer Act of 1971. The author, academic hematologist-oncologist Guy Faguet, MD, states in the preface that the book's purpose is to examine the “root causes of three decades of disappointing progress in cancer treatment.” He also offers his views on what must change for success in the conquest of cancer. The book has five parts.
