At a time when other nations, particularly those in Asia, are increasing funds dedicated to health research, the United States' investment in health research is being reined in, a new analysis indicates. While the total dollar value continues to rise, investment in research as a proportion of all health spending in the country is going in the opposite direction, according to Research!America, a not-for-profit public education and advocacy alliance organization, based in Alexandria, Va (http://www.researchamerica.org/).
