Disease Control Priorities in Developing Countries, Second Edition (DCP2) is the new edition of a volume that was first published in 1993 by Oxford University Press. It represents the joint efforts of nearly 500 world-class professionals who took part in a collaborative enterprise of the Fogarty International Center of the National Institutes of Health, the World Health Organization, the World Bank, and the Population Reference Bureau.

The first edition was useful to policy makers for selecting highly effective health interventions under resource constraints. DCP2 takes the mission further by updating and improving the guidance offered to address the institutional, organizational, financial, and research capacities necessary for a health system to deliver effective interventions.
