Head and Neck Surgery–Otolaryngology, now in its fourth edition, was originally published in 1993. All three previous editions have been well received by practicing otolaryngologists and residents. The editors' stated goal was to provide an organized learning system, including a separate atlas (currently available in the 2001 version) and the two-volume text. The new edition, with a new team of editors and additional new authors, builds on the original. Entire chapters have been revised or replaced, and chapters that were well done before have been enhanced.
