ILLINOIS  New Officers.—Fulton County Medical Society at Canton, October 7: president, Dr. Isaac L. Beatty, Fairview; secretary-treasurer, Dr. David S. Ray, Cuba.Personal.—Dr. C. T. Roome has been appointed health commissioner of Evanston, succeeding Dr. Victor Balderston, resigned.—Dr. and Mrs. T. W. Curry, Streator, have returned from Europe.Tag Day for Silver Cross.—Silver Cross Hospital, Joliet, has become too small for the needs of the city and an addition is proposed to cost $55,000. To accomplish this a tag day was held in Joliet October 11. The addition to the hospital will double its capacity.Officers for State Anti-Tuberculosis Association.—At the annual meeting of the Illinois Association for the Prevention of Tuberculosis, held in Rockford, October 13, the following officers were elected: president, Dr. W. A. Evans, Chicago; vice-presidents, Dr. Tully O. Hardesty, Jacksonville, and Mrs. J. J. Robins, Chicago; secretary, James Minnick, and treasurer, David R. Forgan, Chicago.Sanatorium
