New Service of Association Headquarters Now Available
For some time the Library of the American Medical Association has been supplying to subscribers of The Journal lists of references on medical subjects. Subscribers have been able to borrow for three days, on request accompanied by 6 cents in postage, any of the foreign periodicals regularly received by the library and, more recently, domestic journals also. On recommendation of the Board of Trustees, arrangements have now been completed to extend this service in the form of a package library.As an outgrowth of the indexing, bibliographic and lending services, the library has been collecting recently published material, in the form of reprints and pages from periodicals, on many phases of medicine and surgery. This material will be loaned to the Fellows of the Association for a small charge, to cover merely the cost of collecting the material and the
