To the Editor:
—In The Journal, September 13, p. 842, Dr. Gerald R. Allaben reports two cases of amyotonia congenita occurring in the same family, and states that the familial tendency has not been noted in the cases heretofore reported. This statement is erroneous. Not only have I reported two cases in brother and sister (Arch. Pediat.38:303 [March] 1921), but several instances of familial occurrence are quoted in Faber's review of the subject (Am. J. Dis. Child.13:305 [April] 1917).
