Congress of French-Speaking Gynecologists and Obstetricians  The sixth congress of the Association des gynécologues et obstétriciens de langue française was held in Brussels, Oct. 3-5, 1929, on the fortieth anniversary of the Société belge de gynécologie et d'obstétrique. Dr. Weymeersch of Brussels, president of the congress, emphasized that the closest cooperation should exist between gynecologists and obstetricians, whose beneficent activities are being extended from year to year. It is true that confinement is a physiologic function; but it borders on pathology, and that explains why obstetrics is adopting more and more the surgical methods that science places before it.
