Abstract

A directory of the special facilities for the treatment, education and custodial care of crippled children is the most valuable feature of this book. These agencies are listed by state and city, with comments on their equipment, field and needs. The book contains statistical data on the number of crippled persons in the United States, with a survey of the literature on cripples and a rapidly drawn picture of the development of the feeling of social responsibility for the care of cripples.
