Abstract

Salaries of Medical Officers  The Nederlandsche Maatschappij tot Bevordering der Geneeskunst has addressed to the various ministerial departments that have physicians among their official personnel a study on the salaries received by the various medical officials. This study comprises comprehensive and detailed information concerning the positions held by the various medical officials; it makes exact comparisons of the conditions that must be met in order to secure these positions, and the knowledge required for each of the posts, and states what would constitute adequate compensation for the work performed.I. Ministry of Labor, Commerce and Industry: In this department there are three classes of officials: 1. The "medical adviser" is in reality the director of the medical service and the technical counselor of the administration of the Rijksverzekeringsbank. 2. The "medical controller" is the authority who passes on all insurance. It is his duty to study every case by itself,
