The authors have selected from the vast mass of medical literature such methods as they believe involve diagnosis and treatment for medical patients in a general hospital. The book is divided into chapter headings covering blood analysis, renal function, work on the pancreas and metabolism, the endocrine glands, the heart, cutaneous tests, diphtheria and the diagnosis of gastro-intestinal conditions. There are numerous excellent references to the bibliographies consulted and the methods described are given in sufficient detail to permit accurate following. The book should be a most useful one to those who desire to avail themselves of the finer technic in laboratory diagnostic methods.
