Abstract

Health Week  In connection with the celebration of national independence during the present month, the department of public health has organized a health week. This will be observed throughout the country by popular lecturers on pressing health problems of individual and public bearing, such as birth registration, smallpox vaccination and revaccination, the proper feeding of children and of adults, the safety of water supplies, and the campaign against flies, mosquitoes, lice, fleas and other disease-bearing insects. In addition to the lectures, public parades will be held wherever possible. Several state governors have offered to cooperate in order to make the health week a success in their respective jurisdictions.
