This sets out to give a concise, clear statement of the simpler facts regarding the diseases of the eye, ear, nose and throat, an object which it accomplishes well. The treatise makes intelligible to the laity, so far as this is possible, facts regarding these regions. The book will be useful in training schools for nurses, since ordinary textbooks on these subjects, even the shorter ones, deal more with diagnosis and treatment from the standpoint of the physician and take a nurse too far afield from her own profession.
