To the Editor:  —The use of cod liver oil is limited because of its odor, its taste, and the fact that it "repeats" with so many patients. Some months ago, I prescribed it for a patient who protested, and just by chance I suggested that she eat half a banana immediately after taking the dose of oil. The result was remarkable and has enabled me to give this preparation in many instances in which I am sure it could never have been used otherwise.
