This is essentially an elementary consideration of human and animal relationships in an attempt to make fundamental biology of general interest. The volume is excellently illustrated. The facts are so concentrated in many sections as almost to destroy readability. The book serves excellently, however, its purpose of indicating the place of man in the great world scheme.
