These two volumes are part of a series developed by William Wood & Company and now issued over a period of some twenty years. Nine years has elapsed between the last two editions of the Index of Prognosis. This book, therefore, has been extensively revised, particularly as concerns the anemias, diabetes, cancer and intestinal obstruction, subjects in which prognosis has been greatly changed as a result of development of new methods of treatment.
