The authors offer this volume as a survey of urology mainly from the point of view of the Viennese school. Following an analysis of the general symptoms of genito-urinary disorders is a description of the methods of examination. A short recapitulation of the anatomy and physiology of the parts concerned is given. In the pathologic chapters, not only the acquired diseases but also the congenital malformations are reported. In the chapter on renal diseases full recognition is given to modern conceptions. While nothing new is offered in this book the disposal of the material, the clear wording and the precise practical deductions call for special appreciation.
