Abstract

Reorganization of the Krankenkassen  In several recent letters, the reorganization of the federal health insurance system of Germany has been considered. Now the federal ministry of labor, which has control of the entire health insurance system, has issued a circular letter to the governments of the German länder, from which an idea of further reorganization may be derived. There were a number of unpleasant, if not injurious, practices that needed to be eliminated. In this letter the point is stressed that the selection of personnel, particularly as regards the more important posts, is to be based on objective and not personal points of view. Candidates must be adapted to the work. In the event of friction arising among the personnel, the possibility of transferring or exchanging appointees should be considered.
