In this edition of Hannes' condensed treatise on obstetrics, the author has included briefly must of the accepted contributions of the past six years in this field. While little space is devoted to argumentative reasoning or lengthy discussions, Hannes epitomizes each important subject. The book is intended for quick reference by the busy practitioner or for review purposes by the student. Reflecting as it does the practice of the Küstner clinic in Breslau, it should prove to be a distinct asset to the obstetric library.
