Legacy to the Institute of General Pathology in Genoa  The Institute of General Pathology of the University of Genoa recently received a legacy of several million liras from the estate of Dr. Mangiamarchi, who died at Pretoria, Transvaal, where he was established and where he accumulated a fortune. By testamentary provision, the bequest must be devoted to the development of the new institute that was opened last year.

Hygienic Supervision of Bathing Establishments  The minister of the interior has called attention to the necessity of exercising constant hygienic supervision over bathing establishments. Supervision should be extended to the licensing, operation and mode of functioning of various establishments, to prevent or eliminate any disadvantages that may result to patrons from the nonobservance of established regulations.

Congress of Ocular Hygiene  The Congress of Ocular Hygiene and Infantile Ophthalmology was held recently in Naples under the chairmanship of Professor Angelucci. The chairman recalled
