—In the article by Drs. John H. Powers and William P. Murphy (The Journal, February 14), the statement is made under the heading "Methods of Study" that patients in the first group received iron in the form of pills of ferrous carbonate, U. S. P., 1.8 Gm. daily. A few sentences later the statement is made, "after which iron (1.8 Gm.) was administered in conjunction with the liver extract." The 1.8 Gm. refers to pills of ferrous carbonate, U. S. P. (Blaud's pills).
