The US Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) is funding the accelerated development of a Zika vaccine through 1 of its Centers for Innovation in Advanced Development and Manufacturing (CIADMs) (http://bit.ly/298EnsN). ASPR’s Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) will provide more than $17.9 million over 30 months to Emergent BioSolutions Inc to develop the vaccine out of the CIADM.
