In Dr. Elmore B. Tauber's discussion in The Journal. December 15, page 1833, is the following sentence: "By using a special medium, I think I have succeeded in cultivating this virus." Dr. Tauber writes that this is incorrect and should have read as follows: "I am informing you of the cultivation of a virus, the work of Dr. Joseph Tamura." Dr. Tauber meant merely to call attention to Tamura's work, to whom all credit for this work, he says, is due.
