TEXT OF THE OPINION AFFIRMING GUILT OF TWO MEDICAL SOCIETIES  DECISION WRITTEN BY JUSTICE ROBERTS

Washington, Jan. 18.—  The text of Justice Owen J. Roberts' opinion in the Supreme Court's settlement of the antitrust act charges by the government against the American Medical Association and the Medical Society of the District of Columbia, both corporations, follows:Petitioners have been indicted and convicted of conspiring to violate Section three of the Sherman Act, by restraining trade or commerce in the District of Columbia. They are respectively corporations of Illinois and of the District of Columbia. Joined with them as defendants were two unincorporated associations and 21 individuals, some of whom are officers or employees of one or other of the petitioners, the remainder being physicians practicing in the District of Columbia and members of the petitioners serving, as to some of them, on various committees of the petitioners having to do
