Personal.  —Dr. Philip H. Stephens, Los Angeles, chief surgeon, Union Pacific Railway, was elected president of the Pacific Association of Railway Surgeons at the annual meeting, San Francisco, August 25.


State Medical Election.  —At the annual meeting of the Colorado State Medical Society, Colorado Springs, September 11-13, Dr. Samuel B. Childs, Denver, was installed as president; Dr. William Senger, Pueblo, was made president elect; Drs. William M. Shultz, Central City, Tom R. Knowles, Colorado Springs, Frederick E. Willett, Steamboat Springs, and Orland P. Shippey, Saguache, vice presidents; Dr. Frank B. Stephenson, Denver, secretary, and Dr. Leo W. Bortree, Colorado Springs, treasurer. Drs. Oscar M.
