To the Editor Dr Schönenberger and colleagues investigated whether anesthetic choice influenced outcome following endovascular thrombectomy for large-vessel stroke by conducting a randomized blinded trial enrolling 150 thrombectomy patients over a 2-year period.1 Interpretation of the results is limited by the choice of primary outcome measure, an underpowered trial design, and the relative ineffectiveness of the intervention.
