STATE BOARD NUMBER  The exceeding importance of making available at the earliest possible moment the facts regarding medical licensure in the United States has made it necessary for The Journal to publish the State Board Number at this time although somewhat abbreviated. The restrictions on the use of paper made it simply impossible to include many of the large tables which are usually incorporated in this number. However, the facts here included provide practically all the essential information that is usually incorporated in the issue devoted particularly to the results of the state board examinations. The Council on Medical Education and Hospitals will make available in the form of a reprint the usual full report for those who are especially desirous of having the more detailed statistics.
