Vets Still Face Challenges in Receiving Timely Medical Care

JAMA. 2017;317(14):1404. doi:10.1001/jama.2017.3569

Under the new program, veterans can be referred to approved private sector clinicians and health care centers when the VHA can’t accommodate them on a timely basis or because a VHA facility lacks the required services or is more than 40 miles from the veteran’s home.
