To the Editor In his A Piece of My Mind article,1 Mr Mauksch asserted that physicians may have to interrupt patients at times to maintain efficient and effective care. He inferred that our 1984 article, “The Effect of Physician Behavior on the Collection of Data,”2 is responsible for spreading the misconception that interruption is always inappropriate.
