Stereotactic conformational radiotherapy (SCRT) provided superior long-term functional neurocognitive and neuroendocrine outcomes without compromising survival in young patients with benign or low-grade brain tumors compared with conventional radiotherapy. The study, reported in JAMA Oncology, provides the first high-level evidence that the newer radiotherapy technique is effective, despite its routine use.
