The beginning and the end
are not the same—
first there is separateness
and then a cell who accepts becoming
and the path of gestation begins,
and rises to another beginning
as new life awakens to what will come.
At the end of beginning it moves again,
this mote of time from the fullness of life
into the vast becoming from which it came.
