To the Editor The systematic review and meta-analysis by Dr Yu and colleagues1 examined associations of positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy with cardiovascular events and death among adults with sleep apnea. Although meta-regression is a methodologically robust approach to examine relationships between PAP adherence and cardiovascular outcomes, we believe there may have been an error in data extraction from primary source material that could have resulted in a faulty conclusion that PAP adherence was not associated with prevention of cardiovascular events and death.
