Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in pregnant women with type 1 diabetes was associated with improved neonatal outcomes, according to a trial published in The Lancet.
The 325 women with type 1 diabetes (215 pregnant, 110 planning pregnancy) were randomly assigned to CGM in addition to capillary glucose monitoring or to standard capillary glucose monitoring alone (control).
